Consultation Fees

All consultations are 50 minutes in duration unless otherwise arranged in advance.

  • St Andrews (Paws and Claws Psychology): $240

  • Panton Hill (Mullum Road Clinic): $260

Please note: Fees are subject to periodic review and may change over time in line with inflation and practice costs. Thank you for your understanding.

Funding Options

Clients are welcome to attend privately or through a range of funding options:

Medicare
If you have a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you may be eligible for Medicare rebates. The current rebate for sessions with a Clinical Psychologist is $136.35 per session (subject to change). This means there is an out-of-pocket gap fee of approximately $103.65 at St Andrews, or $123.65 at Panton Hill.

Private Health Insurance
If your private health insurance covers psychology, you may be able to claim a rebate. The amount depends on your individual policy — please check with your fund.

NDIS
I welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Sessions can be billed through your NDIS plan where applicable.

Other Funding Options
Please feel free to enquire if you would like to discuss other possible funding avenues (such as TAC, DVA, or others).

Medicare Referrals

If you would like to access Medicare rebates for your sessions, you will need to obtain a referral from your GP (or from a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician). Here’s how the process works:

Steps to obtaining a Medicare referral:

1️⃣ Book an appointment with your GP
2️⃣ Discuss your mental health needs and whether a referral for psychological support is appropriate
3️⃣ If appropriate, your GP will complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral letter
4️⃣ Bring your MHCP referral to your first session — this allows us to claim the Medicare rebate for your sessions

Medicare options available:

  • Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP):

    • Provides up to 10 Medicare-rebated psychology sessions per calendar year

    • Sessions are usually provided in two blocks — first 6 sessions, then an additional 4 after a GP review

  • Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder (CND) items:

  • For clients under 25 years old with a diagnosis of autism or other eligible neurodevelopmental disorders

  • Provides rebates for up to 4 assessment sessions and 20 treatment sessions per lifetime (can be used alongside a MHCP or separately)

  • Referral required from a specialist (Paediatrician or Psychiatrist)

  • Eating Disorder Plan:

    • If eligible, provides up to 40 sessions over a 12-month period

    • Referral required from a GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician

  • Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM / formerly EPC):

    • Provides up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year for clients with a chronic health condition

    • Referral required from a GP

Please note: If you are using Private Health Insurance or NDIS funding for your sessions, Medicare rebates cannot be claimed at the same time.

If you have any questions about Medicare referrals or the best option for your situation, I’m always happy to talk it through with you.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for at least 2 days’ (48 hours’) notice so that I can offer the appointment to someone else.

Cancellations with less than 2 days’ notice, or missed appointments, may incur the full session fee. I understand that life happens and unexpected situations can arise — if this is the case, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss.
